Every once and a while lately, you come home from work and find that the cans haven’t been collected. In the year we’ve been here since moving in, we’ve heard this from many neighbors about a dozen times. It seems like GFL keeps forgetting to pickup, or if a truck becomes full, they don’t seem to dispatch another to finish the job.
If your can(s) have not been collected, be sure to notify the town so they can open a work order with GFL to get you collected. You can do so by calling them at: 919-552-5920
Even if they do not answer the phone leave the following information in a voicemail (they do actually get and listen to VM):
- Your full name
- Your street and house number
- whether garbage, recycling, or both
- IMPORTANT: Be sure to tell them that your HOA FINES YOU for not promptly returning cans to the garage or placed back behind a screen, and that late/missed collections put you at risk of these fines!
- Your phone number (if you wish a call back)
